This is a route of around 5 miles that took us just over 2 hours. There are a few climbs and descents so make sure you wear appropriate footwear. We walked through one field with sheep in, and another that could have cows in at certain times of the year, though there were none when we walked in July. The rest of the route is wooded footpaths, by-ways, and a few small sections of road walking. We parked on the A368 quite near the footpath entrance (at the end of The Coombe). There is one footpath straight ahead of you at the end of The Coombe, and one to your right. Doing our route you will enter at one and come out at the other.
