Walking Route; Penwood Forest, Newbury, Berkshire

This is a lovely woodland that covers 2 sides of a small lane. Head for Penwood nurseries (RG20 9EW), and with that on your left, follow the lane until you see a turning on the left which is a little car park. You can either walk from this car park, or cross over and walk in the woodland on the other side of the road. You may occasionally see deer, and although they are not supposed to be there, occasionally you will see horse riders on the paths as well. If you cross the road to the smaller woodland, there is a little pool for the dogosaurs to dunk in towards the beginning of the walk. This woods, as most, can get very muddy in winter!
