Walking Route; Walton Common, Bristol

This walk starts in Walton Common, in Walton in Gordano, which is a lovely area and you could easily just take your dogosaur for a walk in this section alone. For our route though, we continued out towards a coastal path - this section isn’t a beach walk, it is more of a tame cliff walk with a narrow path throughout. The route shown doesn’t cross through any livestock fields, however there are fields with cows around here so take care if you change course. We also walked adjacent to a horse field towards the end. There are 2 very small sections of road walking - the first one could be avoided by walking through the cow field if you and your dogosaur aren’t bothered by them. Some paths may be overgrown in the summer and there is one rather steep uphill section to get back off the coastal path. There is a large lay by near the entrance to the common, on Walton Street, approximate postcode BS21 7AP. The route is 4.5 miles and took us just under 2 hours.
