Warleigh Weir is a waterfall located on the River Avon, near Bath. It’s really beautiful, and a lot of people flock there in the summer for a swim. We decided to go a bit later in the year, and since the Weir itself isn’t much of a walk, we linked up a few of the surrounding footpaths, including a large part of the canal, and back round through Rowbarrow Wood, then along the other side of the River Avon and returning for the last leg along the canal. This is a really lovely walk of about 8 miles. We parked along the A36, just next to Ferry Lane, where you can park up on the grass verge on the main road (so please take care when crossing!). We did cross one field with sheep, and the tow path can get busy with bikes and other walkers, but it wasn’t too bad for us considering the lovely sunny day we chose!
