Walk 2 took us to Alton, near Basingstoke, to a Woodland Trust site called Home Farm, about 40 minutes from Newbury. This walk was really beautiful, and there were lots of alternate routes for other visits! There is a mixture of open glades and woodland here, with very clear paths in the woods. There is a herd of cattle here, but we only saw them once and the boys went on leads when we did to make sure they didn’t disturb them. The cows themselves didn’t seem bothered by us at all! We saw many other dog walkers when we went (on a sunny Sunday), and there are a few car parks for the site.

We followed the red marked route, with the help of the trust iFootpath app, but you can go and just amble around if you prefer. Either way I’m sure you and your dogosaurs will love it 😊.
