Headley ford is a great circular walk along the river, which can be very fast flowing in the wetter months so take care if you have an aquatic dogosaur! In the dryer months, it has a few great spots for them to take a dip and isn’t too busy usually. The route shown is the loop you can do, but we quite often walk to the end of the river and turn back as it’s a really lovely footpath that winds along the side of the riverbank. You can park on Thornford Road in Headley (RG19 8AH). The road is now closed where the ford is, so you will need to drive to it by going through Headley village itself.
