Bucklebury Common is just outside Thatcham, and it’s massive! The route that is pictured is just one of many options in this wonderful woodland. The woods is separated by a lot of small, quiet lanes, so if you’re unfamiliar with the area please take care with dogosaurs running ahead off the lead. As it’s in a fairly remote area, and it’s quite big with no fencing, there are lots of deer and pheasants as well. To tackle the route shown, you can park on Holly Lane (RG7 6TL). Or there is also a car park on Fanny’s Lane which is nearby. Though there aren’t any livestock, there are a few fields with horses in alongside the main footpaths for the route shown here so take care with dogosaurs off lead.
